We are featured in iHeartLogos season two!

Late last year we heard the great news that we were to be featured in iHeartLogo’s Season 2.

Every year iHeartlogos.com runs a competition where designers can submit their work. This work is then is judged and voted for by other fellow designers. So it’s pretty tough competition and an honor to make it through to the final selection. Once the designs are whittled down then they are featured in a printed book. (more…)

Design Museum Shop – Brand Identity Update

I’ve always admired the Design Museum Shop Identity, it had an element of fun and a very unpretentious all inclusive feel to it. Created by Build 5 years ago, they rolled out the design across the whole museum, store and merchandise. I say ‘had’ because the Museums identity has just been redesigned by Spin.

The new design makes use of the existing main Design Museum identity and adds ‘+Shop’ to the title. It retains the more clinical, clear and sparse design adding a vertical line as a graphic device along with the use of quotes from designers.

You can read the whole story and see more of the new identity and its comparison to the old over at the Creative Review website

Pinche Pinche Mexican Restaurant – Brand Identity

We were invited by Brian Hawkins (Commercial Interior Designer at Design Venue Architects ) to quote for the design work. Brian was overseeing various elements of the project in it’s initial stages and a new brand identity, signage design and printed menus were needed.

More about Pinche Pinche

Pinche Pinche is the brainchild of owner/head chef, Simon Heath. After spending a year working in Mexico City and living next door to a Taqueria, Simon was completely smitten by their tacos and was determined to bring the joys of Mexican street food to good ol’ Leeds when he returned to the UK.

Pinche Pinche is a relaxed and fun restaurant with prices designed to please your pocket. All our food is freshly prepared using authentic Mexican ingredients wherever possible. With our inspiration drawn from the street food that is eaten every day throughout Mexico, this is food that is designed to be eaten with your hands so don’t be shy – get stuck in!” (more…)
