		<description>I don&#039;t think it&#039;s particularly unfair in the scheme of things, however feel that ideally the public should be made aware that it&#039;s open to design firms also so they can decide if they want to bother wasting their time, because the chances of them winning is very unlikely due to this.

I suspect the general public don&#039;t quite realise that design firms are entering such things and hence that is the bit that has a degree of unfairness to it, in that the public are almost being duped.

If they want to do &#039;real&#039; public competitions they really should just ban design firms and then it would be genuinely &#039;the public&#039;, but we all know full well that these &#039;public&#039; competitions are just stop them looking so bad whilst they trying to get free concepts from designers.

As if we don&#039;t know why they do them eh. I wonder how many examples there are of &#039;public&#039; competitions that have been won by non professionals.</description>
