Rio 2016 Olympic Logo Launched

The Olympic Committee has just launched the identity for Rio de Janiero 2016 Games.
Designed by Tatil a Rio design agency who were amongst 150 agencies initially in the running for the work.

“The winning logo exemplifies four Olympic ‘pillars’: contagious energy; passion and transformation; I would like to congratulate the Rio team for its choice of design for the Rio 2016 emblem, which I find very innovative and creative,” said IOC president Jacques Rogge in a statement. (more…)

The Best Logo / Identity Design of 2010

It’s that time of year again when Brand New reveal their Best and Worst Logo  Identity Design of 2010.

Brand New is one of my favourite design sites, there’s always a great debate on emerging identity design good and bad.

Design is always a difficult thing to judge as it’s so subjective and I don’t agree with all of the ‘best’ that have been selected but there’s certainly some deserving work in there. (more…)
