Design Museum Shop – Brand Identity Update

I’ve always admired the Design Museum Shop Identity, it had an element of fun and a very unpretentious all inclusive feel to it. Created by Build 5 years ago, they rolled out the design across the whole museum, store and merchandise. I say ‘had’ because the Museums identity has just been redesigned by Spin.

The new design makes use of the existing main Design Museum identity and adds ‘+Shop’ to the title. It retains the more clinical, clear and sparse design adding a vertical line as a graphic device along with the use of quotes from designers.

You can read the whole story and see more of the new identity and its comparison to the old over at the Creative Review website
